Man arrested for stabbing a motorcycle owner and stealing the motorcycle in Bauchi

A suspect has been apprehended after allegedly stabbing a motorcycle owner and making off with his motorcycle along Ningi Road in Bauchi, according to a statement from the state police command (SP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil).

The suspect (name withheld) was arrested within an hour of the incident. The statement reads, “On February 8th, 2024, at approximately 1030hrs, a Divisional Police Officer (C) Division received a distress call from a motorcycle owner who had been stabbed and injured multiple times by unknown persons with a sharp object.

The owner’s motorcycle (boxers) had been removed from the scene.” The Divisional Police Officer immediately dispatched a patrol team to the scene and the victim was taken to Specialist Hospital in Bauchi for treatment before being discharged.

Following a diligent and meticulous Investigation and intelligence gathering, within an hour after, the suspect was arrested and the motorcycle was recovered.

The suspect upon interrogation was said to be rom Bayan Banki in Mangu LGA of Plateau state. 

He also confessed to having perpetrated the heinous act to obtain the motorcycle from his victim.

The suspect will be charged to court upon completion of the investigation to face the full wrath of the law.”
