Man Kills Wife with a Tractor

A man is reportedly facing charges of murder after he was alleged to have used a tractor to run over and kill his wife on a property in southern Brisbane, Australia. According to reports, the 44-year-old man notified emergency services about his wife’s death, claiming it was the result of an accident. On Thursday, February 15, 2024., emergency services arrived at the rural property in Woodhill, south of Brisbane, and discovered the lifeless body of the 41-year-old woman.

The Queensland Ambulance Service stated that the woman suffered fatal injuries in what they described as a “farm machinery incident.” Authorities have seized a sedan and a tractor-slasher for forensic analysis. Detectives suspect that the crime scene may have been tampered with, based on initial observations made during the investigation. The man has been charged with murder (domestic violence) and interfering with a corpse. Detective Inspector Chris Knight emphasized that any history of domestic violence between the couple will be considered during the ongoing investigation.

The couple has two teenage children who are currently under the care of relatives from another state. Knight expressed condolences to the children during this difficult time. The man has been denied police bail and is scheduled to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Friday, February 16. Despite the heavy rain in southeast Queensland on Friday, police are continuing their search for evidence on the property. Furthermore, they have enlisted the assistance of police divers to examine several dams on the premises as part of the investigation.
